I think I'm joining the world and becoming apathetic

Sad but true.

Think of all the crazy stuff that has happened starting this summer.
Live 8
G8 summit
London bombings
Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma
Riots in Paris
Iraq problems continued
corruption charges all over DC
the battle over supreme court nominees
Bird flu panic
Earthquake in Pakistan and India (and as of today another one in Afghanistan and Pakistan again)
hotel bombings in Jordan
Crisis in Darfur
gay rights debated - Vatican being harsher on it, South Africa legalizing it (though it has two types of marriage- one for either same sex or opposite sexes and one for exclusivly heterosexual couples...) and lots of discussion elsewhere
prisoner torture is becoming almost common
Saddam is on trial
First female president in an african nation (Liberia)
A dog has been cloned
we've decided to try to get another man on the moon
Chaos in Sydney now

-and I'm not even one who reads beyond the first couple pages of the news so that's probably a pretty superficial look at it all. Because beyond those first few pages there's probably also brief summeries of the news in the rest of the world; news which I have no clue about and somehow I can't seem to get the will to alter that.

There's just no shortage of problems to learn and the more I read the more I want to be reading something else. Yes there are some good things happening but there are so many more negitive things in the news. Only positive things I seem to read these days are reviews of new movies and new products. Kinda sad but seems that's how it is. Anyway I was just updating to say I'm here and I went on a tangent. I hope you've been looking at my photoblog as that's updated a bit more than here.

Comment if you read this- I want to see how many readers I have. Doesn't need to be anything important or anything just say hi.
